An Acworth woman was killed Wednesday in a one-car crash in Barrow County, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

Jennifer Pringle, 30, was the only person in a Nissan Xterra that crashed on Ga. 82 and Jones  Road, Capt. Ryan Sears said.

“Speed was a factor,” Sears said.

The SUV left the roadway and the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll before hitting a tree and coming to rest, he said.

Sheriff’s officials are investigating the incident. The crash caused traffic delays for hours.
