A school bus and an 18-wheeler had an accident this morning on I-20, according to reports.
Around 8:40 a.m., AM 750 and 95.5 FM WSB News/Talk Radio reported that the vehicles collided on the eastbound highway at the exit ramp to Glennwood Road.
There were children on the bus, Atlanta Fire and Rescue Department spokeswoman Janet Ward said.
Channel 2 Action News is reporting that the bus driver was cited for not staying in her lane, and some of the children on the bus were the driver’s children.
No ambulances were used, but three children and the driver were taken to nearby hospitals by private car, said DeKalb County Fire Department spokesman Capt. Eric Jackson.
