The crash blocked all eastbound lanes of I-20 for about 45 minutes Tuesday afternoon.

All lanes of I-20 East in Atlanta are back to normal after a woman suffering a medical emergency crashed into the median wall around lunchtime Tuesday.

The interstate was shut down east of the Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard exit as emergency crews pulled the woman from her wrecked SUV around noon.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a witness told police the woman was driving east when she suddenly lost control of her Toyota RAV4 and slammed into the concrete divider.

The driver was reportedly uninjured in the crash, but the wreck caused heavy delays into downtown for about 45 minutes as crews removed the woman from the wrecked car. All lanes reopened about 12:30 p.m., according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
