Traffic is flowing again on the Downtown Connector after authorities shut down the northbound lanes Thursday morning to investigate a death.
Atlanta police confirmed that a man was hit and killed by a vehicle north of I-20 but said no other details were immediately available. Authorities shut down the lanes about 5:30 a.m., and they reopened shortly before 7:30 a.m., according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
During the shutdown, northbound traffic was being diverted off the interstate at the exit to Fulton Street and Central Avenue.
