The terms … ensured proper protection for the interests of the GTAA and the stadium. Who within the GTAA was responsible for this outstanding contract?

—John Iorillo, Marietta

A: The agreement between Georgia Tech and Atlanta United was a collaboration of Georgia Tech's athletic administrative staff, an athletic association spokesman told Q&A on the News in an email.

Atlanta United, the city’s new MSL team, will play its home games at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium, beginning in March 2017, until Mercedes-Benz Stadium opens next summer.

Among the financial details, Atlanta United will pay $350,000 for field modifications, $275,000 that will go to locker room improvements and $45,000 in rent per match, the AJC reported earlier this month.
