Q: I just read of more votes for cityhood coming in the metro area. Which Georgia county has the most cities and what are their populations?

—Lance DeLoach, Thomaston

A: Gwinnett County, with 16 cities, has the most municipalities of any Georgia county, the Association County Commissioners of Georgia stated in an email to Q&A on the News.

  • Berkeley Lake (1,983)
  • Braselton (8,727)
  • Buford (13,392)
  • Dacula (4,971)

Q: The Air Quality Forecast in a recent AJC caught my eye. It shows a value of 25 that is in the green area and is “Good.” The Pollen Forecast, though, is in the red area and is “Very High.” How can air quality be so good when there are enough pollen particles floating around that you can practically see them?

—Dennis Beasley, Woodstock

A: Many people aren't affected by pollen, so even when the pollen count is high, it "has nothing to do with the quality of the air," Glenn Burns, chief meteorologist for Channel 2 Action News, told Q&A on the News in an email.

“We are dealing with apples and oranges here,” he wrote. “Air pollution, on the other hand, affects everyone. Air quality measures ozone and particulate matter in the air.”
