A 25-year-old Suwanee man Monday died in a two-vehicle collision in Gwinnett County.
Patrick Wood was traveling north on McGinnis Ferry Road on a motorcycle when a southbound driver in a Chevrolet Silverado began a U-turn at a green light at the intersection with Old Peachtree Road, Gwinnett police said in a preliminary report.
The driver of the Silverado pulled into the path of Wood, who was not able to stop in time and was ejected from the motorcycle, according to the report. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Speed and alcohol, police said, did not appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
