Suspected human remains found in burned vehicle in Athens
Athens-Clarke County police are investigating after what appears to be human remains were found in a burned vehicle Wednesday afternoon.
The discovery was made around 1:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of Winterville Road, police said.
The GBI is assisting with the investigation. The remains will be sent to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office.
No other information was immediately available.
