Atlanta police have charged a 30-year-old man with murder in connection to the June stabbing death of an Atlanta resident.

Kenyatta L. James turned himself in at Atlanta police headquarters Wednesday. Police spokesman Officer John Chafee said investigators have been able to ascertain probable cause to charge him in connection to the death of 66-year-old William A. Harris.

Police responded to a “person down” call near the intersection of Hollywood and Hightower roads in northwest Atlanta on June 20. It was there that they found Harris, dead from multiple stab wounds and other trauma throughout his body.

James was taken to the Fulton County Jail, where he remained Wednesday night.
