The Atlanta Police Department has added a man to its Most Wanted list who is a suspect in an April shooting that left one dead.
Marcus Rozier is wanted for murder in connection with the shooting death of Remarcus Lowe at the Trestletree Village Apartments. He was identified as the suspect in December but is not yet in custody, police said.
On April 25 about 1:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired at the apartment complex, police spokeswoman Marla Jean Rooker said at the time. Police found two injured men at the scene, later identified as Rozier and Lowe.
Lowe, who was still holding a handgun, was unresponsive and declared dead at the scene, Rooker said. Rozier was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital but refused to cooperate with investigators. According to police, Rozier left the hospital before police were able to charge him.
Rozier was publicly identified as the suspect in December, and the APD has continued to search for him.
Anyone with information about Rozier’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers. Information can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers tip line at 404-577-8477 or online at www.stopcrimeatl.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for the $2,000 reward for information leading to Rozier’s arrest or indictment.
