Georgia to get $16 million in federal school improvement grant funds

Georgia will receive $16.4 million in federal school improvement grant funds, the U.S. Department of Education announced today.

Georgia was one of six states and the District of Columbia to get school improvement money in this round of funding, which is to be used to help low-performing schools. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution will have more on this later today.
