An 8-year-old Kentucky boy was taken into custody Friday after threatening his babysitter with a knife and stealing her car, WZTV reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the home in the western Kentucky city of Crofton shortly before 10 a.m., the television station reported.

According to officials, the child threatened his babysitter with a kitchen knife then took her car but was stopped when the car got stuck in the mud, WKDZ reported

The boy also used obscene gestures toward officers as he was being apprehended, the radio station reported.

The boy is undergoing a mental evaluation at Cumberland Hall, a facility in Hopkinsville, WZTV reported.
