Clayton County police have charged a Riverdale man with murder in the stabbing death of a woman last weekend.
Harvey Walker, 50, called police Saturday morning to report the overnight stabbing of 56-year-old Keteria Benton, said JaQuitta Williams, spokeswoman for Clayton County police.
When officers arrived at the home, in the 200 block of Valley Hill Road, they found Benton dead inside. Walker had a gunshot wound in his hand and was taken to a local hospital, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Police said they had not had any calls about recent altercations at the house, but told Channel 2 they had been called to a domestic incident there in February 2014.
