Offset, one-third of Atlanta rap group Migos, was reportedly detained by police Wednesday night after a report of a gun at a Los Angeles mall.

Offset, who is one of dozens of artists headed to Miami for the Super Bowl, was detained with some associates Wednesday night after reports that someone had a gun inside The Grove shopping center’s parking structure, according to a report by TMZ. The Los Angeles Police Department received the call about 8 p.m., and by the time police arrived, the individual with the gun had fled. However, police took Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, and his crew into custody.

TMZ obtained video of Offset at the mall, where police recovered two guns. Offset and two other unnamed associates were taken to the station for questioning. No official arrests were made, according to reports.

Though TMZ released footage of Offset leaving the station during the wee hours Thursday, he later posted a seemingly subliminal Instagram story denying the incident.

Last May, the Grammy-nominated artist was charged with damage to property stemming from an incident at a Sandy Springs Target store. Junior Gibbons, 18, shared video of the rapper allegedly slapping his iPhone 8 out of his hand. The charges were later dropped.
