A Cobb County man who coaches girls softball teams has been arrested by federal agents on child pornography charges.

Channel 2 Action News reported that Nicholas Mazza of Powder Springs is facing the charges after investigators with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security monitoring “peer-to-peer” computer networks discovered a large number of child porn downloads to an IP address belonging to Mazza.

Mazza’s website says he has coached softball teams around the county for more than a decade, according to Channel 2.

Neighbors of Mazza told Channel 2 that they had seen agents surrounding his home earlier this week.

Channel 2 reported that according to a criminal complaint, Mazza admitted to investigators that he viewed and saved child pornography for about 10 years, and that his preference was girls around the age of 10.
