Monday marked the first time there was no reported gun violence in Chicago.

Monday was the first time in 2019 that no gun violence was reported in Chicago, WLS reported.

However, there were two gun-related incidents, the television station reported.

Chicago police said two people suffered self-inflicted gunshot wounds, WLS reported.

A 38-year-old-man accidentally shot himself while cleaning a relative's handgun, and a 15-year-old boy hiding a gun during a weapons check was injured when it accidentally discharged, the television station reported.

Three people were wounded by gun violence Sunday in Chicago, WLS reported. None of the injuries were fatal.
