Norcross police are looking for a man believed to be responsible for two sexual assaults this week near a Gwinnett County Transit bus stop.

In the latest incident, which happened shortly before daybreak Thursday near the bus stop on Jimmy Carter Boulevard near South Peachtree Street, the suspect was pepper sprayed by his victim, according to a statement posted on the Norcross police website.

The other incident happened about the same time of the morning earlier in the week.

“Women are asked to avoid walking alone when it is dark outside, be aware of your surroundings at all times, and do not hesitate to call 911 if you encounter a suspicious person,” police said in the statement.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call 770-448-2111.
