A YouTube video posted Sunday allegedly shows part of the series of crashes involving 14 cars on the Downtown Connector earlier in the day, and those involved in the crash may have been taking part in an event paying tribute to Paul Walker, the late star of the "Fast and the Furious" franchise.

The crashes, which occurred late Sunday morning between 10th Street and 14th Street, began when a group of cars were traveling north on the connector in a line, Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee said. When another vehicle cut one of the cars off, that led to the first impact; others followed when vehicles attempted to stop for the initial crashes. Officers reported four separate crashes and 14 vehicles involved.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crashes, though multiple lanes of the connector were shut down for several hours.

Sometime Sunday, YouTube user photobycereal2k posted a video reportedly captured by a GoPro camera. The user said the video showed the start of the pile-up after Mustangs hit the highway’s divider.

The YouTube user said the crashes happened after involved vehicles left Turner Field, 3 miles into the second annual Paul Walker & Roger Rodas Remembrance/Toys-4-Tots Charity Cruise. Several participants posted about the crash on the event's Facebook page Sunday and Monday.

Police said the incident report on Sunday’s crashes has not yet been completed.

Walker and Rodas were killed last year in a high-speed crash in Valencia, Calif., with one report saying the Porsche Carrera they traveled in was going 80 to 93 mph before drifting out of control and hitting a light pole.

Walker's final film, "Furious 7," is set to open April 3, 2015, imdb.com reports. Many of its scenes were filmed in Atlanta.
