TUESDAY CONVERSATION: TRANSPORTATION

Many Clayton County residents and transit fans around metro Atlanta have applauded MARTA’s expansion into that county. But today’s lead column reflects on the considerable work needed around bus stops and street crossings in order to create safe connectivity. In other columns today, a North Fulton business leader backs the new transportation bill in the Legislature, and a research analyst suggests that eliminating the jet-fuel tax break will not harm Atlanta’s competitiveness nor that of major carriers such as Delta Air Lines.
