Dear readers,

We’re happy to announce the return of several popular opinion columnists to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Balanced Views Opinion page starting this week. Opinion columnists Paul Krugman, David Brooks, Gail Collins, Ross Douthat and Nicholas Kristof from The New York Times are returning to our pages this week. They will rejoin a regular rotation that also features columnists from the Washington Post, Creators Syndicate and others, as well as the AJC’s own Jay Bookman and Kyle Wingfield.

We’ve spent the past few months evaluating our offerings to bring you the best in commentary and opinion writing. The lineup below is a reflection of that work intended to offer you a selection of the best opinion commentators out there, carefully balanced to reflect both liberal and conservative viewpoints each day. You’ve told us that presenting views from both sides of the aisle is important to you, and this columnist roster is designed with that in mind.

We hope you enjoy the return of these familiar faces, a move which reflects our commitment to continue bringing you the expertise and divergent perspectives on issues and politics that you’ve come to expect on the AJC’s Opinion pages.

We know that, in this fast-changing world, viewpoints matter. We will continue to strive for a balance of views that covers the spectrum of local and state issues, as well as national politics, the economy and social affairs. From time to time, you may see some favorite voices temporarily disappear – even columnists go on vacation at times — but we are pleased to be returning to our former rotation, both in the printed newspaper and on subscriber web site MyAJC.com.

Here’s our daily From the Left/From the Right columnist lineup going forward:

We appreciate your patience and support of the AJC and its Opinion pages.

Best regards,

Andre Jackson
