Mike Luckovich: The Round File for October UPDATE

The Mike Luckovich cartoons that didn't make the grade, and some that did.

It's pretty easy coming up with Trump ideas. This one was borderline stupid.

I didn't love this idea, but sometimes coming up with lousy ideas leads me to something better.

I'm not sure this one made sense, so I assigned it to the ash heap of history.

I kind of liked this one. After 8 years screaming Obama's going to take your guns, It's now going to be Hillary. And the rubes won't notice.

This is actually a sketch I did for a Facebook live thing I do each week, usually around 2 on Thursdays. Viewers give me topics and I come up with a quick idea. One person said "do something about Hillary and the glass ceiling." Somebody else said "do Hillary in prison" so I combined them.

I kind of liked this one, because it was on climate change rather than Trump, but there was so much Trump stuff going on, I never did it.

America’s turning against Trump, so I came up with a holiday-themed approach, which I ultimately passed on.

Alec Baldwin’s Trump is excellent, but this one wasn’t fabulous so I thought of something else.

Even Melania got into the act, with her Anderson Cooper interview. I like this one, I can’t remember why I didn’t do it.

This was my favorite Trump cartoon for the week.
