Both sides in the bitter battle over Common Core State Standards held rallies at the Capitol last week.

I look at the ongoing controversies around the academic standards, which were championed by former Gov. Sonny Perdue and which are already in place in Georgia schools.

In a guest column, an opponent argues that we ought to repeal Common Core, despite how far along we are and how much money we've spent. Readers share their views on the standards, too.
