Atlanta Forward: Education

By Maureen Downey
Aug 31, 2014

One of the myths surrounding the Common Core State Standards is that it banishes poetry from schools. Against the backdrop of Labor Day, a school choice advocate decries the lack of options in Georgia for parents to choose their children’s school and set them on a better path to employment. And readers share their views on a call to push back the start of the school day in deference to the sleeping patterns of teens.
