The Madison County school board has agreed under threat of legal action to remove Bible verses from a donated monument erected at the high school football stadium.
No one doubts there’s the occasional prayer at a high school football game, especially when it’s fourth and goal. But should that prayer be led by coaches? Football and religion seem to go together in the South, but many argue it is not a match made in heaven. I take up the issue today.
