One person killed in crash with Clayton County fire vehicle

A collision with a Clayton County fire vehicle working a previous crash left one person dead Monday morning, officials said.
Clayton County Police Department Lt. Barry Davis told Channel 2 Action News that the fatal crash occurred just after midnight on I-675 near Ga. 138.
“They had a lane of I-675 southbound blocked off to work the (initial) accident and at that time another vehicle ran into the back of the Clayton County Fire Department vehicle,” Davis told Channel 2. “As a result of that accident there was one fatality.”
A second person was injured in the crash with the fire truck and taken to the hospital, officials said. Two people were injured in the initial wreck, though their condition was unknown, Channel 2 reported.
No further information was immediately available.
