After graduating he stayed on as faculty in the School of Design and in 1965, he moved to Atlanta and joined Toombs Amisano and Wells. The firm went on to become internationally known and were well-known for their resort work in the Southeastern United States. He was extremely generous with his time and talent. After retirement he continually helped many friends with difficult design and architectural projects. He was able to help people reach and see their dreams in what he was able to create for them. What he enjoyed most was the time he spent with students mentoring and helping them reach their goals in architecture. Business projects allowed him years of traveling around the world with his wife, Ann, and he loved to share his memories with others. He had a deep appreciation of all genres of music, art and literature, and he had an immense knowledge of history and building construction. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, mentor, teacher, artist, great dancer, and an avid Alabama football fan.
