Rev. George Anderson "Andy" Mason, age 80 of Oxford, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Conyers, GA. Rev. John Cheek, Rev. Cecil Ash, and Rev. Allen Mullis will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Mason served his country honorably in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division. He was an ordained minister for over 40 years and retired from the Atlanta Postal Service. Rev. Mason was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda (Broadnax) Mason; and parents, James Dennis and Lucille (Broadnax) Mason. He is survived by wife, Carolyn Fields Mason of Oxford, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Tom Smith of Conyers, GA, Cindy and Tim Power of Snellville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, R.J. and Sheila Fields of Scaly Mountain, NC, Perry and Kathy Fields of Monticello, GA, Timmy and Jodie Fields of Covington, GA; 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous family and friends.
