JENKINS, Jr., Campbell Ort "Buster"
Passed away on September 13, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Born to Campbell Ort and Mary Pope Reese Jenkins, Buster entered the world with a bang that would define his life, whether on the golf course, making new friends or selling insurance. Buster's greatest passions in life were sports-all kinds-but especially golf, basketball and UGA; being with his friends; laughing; dancing; entertaining and his career. He also delighted in celebrating the accomplishments of his grandchildren, both big and small.
Buster and his family were together at Lake Rabun the weekend before his death, for which everyone is very grateful. Buster loved Lake Rabun more than anywhere else in the world and it is fitting as his final resting place.
Buster is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Lunsford; his children, Mary Campbell Jenkins (Peter Lefkowicz), Marilyn (Lyn) Jenkins Thompson, and Campbell III (Camp) Jenkins (Jessica); and 10 grandchildren; Madeleine, Morgan and Margot Thompson; Henry, George and Ella Lefkowicz; and Campbell IV, Emily, McLean and Reese Jenkins.
A family memorial service was held at Lake Rabun on September 19, 2021.
