HENDRICKSON, Scott Michael
Scott Michael Hendrickson, age 55 of Marietta died unexpectedly Friday, October 8, 2021.
Mr. Hendrickson lived in Cobb County for 23 years and worked in commercial pest control sales. He enjoyed traveling and sports, interests that led to his attending Olympics all over the world. He loved coaching pole vault and high jump, most recently at Marietta High School. He was also an avid coin collector.
Mr. Hendrickson is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Burdeshaw Hendrickson of Marietta; son, Joel Edward Hendrickson of Marietta; parents, Michael and Sandra Hendrickson of Wisconsin; maternal grandmother, Esther Congdon; brother, Troy Hendrickson (Kim Stair) of Wisconsin; nephew, Cash Hendrickson; aunts and uncles, Joel and Linda Harris, Diane Brady, Dr. LeeAnn Weitekamp and James Congdon, Jr.; in-laws Edward and Suzanne Burdeshaw, and John, Anna, and Carolina Fretwell.
At Scott's request, no service will be held. His ashes will be taken to Bond Falls, MI, a favorite place. A gathering in Marietta will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to City of Hope, Winship Cancer Center, or a veterans' nonprofit would be appreciated.
