Doris Bennett, age 97 of Lilburn, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Haynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Doris was a member of Mountain Park First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Andrew Bennett in 2002. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Weyman Bennett of Lilburn, David and Carol Bennett of LaFayette; grandchildren, Karen and Neil Mathis of Canton, Chris and Lynn Warr of Ringgold, John and Stephanie Shahan of Savannah; great-grandchildren, Andy Mathis, Claire Mathis, Jake Mathis and Stella Warr; brother and sisters-in-law, Major and Dorothy Moon, Ida Moon all of Loganville.
