Police arrested a woman from Imperial Beach, Calif., in an alleged road rage incident that left a motorcyclist dead Thursday.
Darla Renee Jackson, 25, is accused of ramming a Ducati motorcycle from behind after arguing with the rider, then running over the rider.
Th 39-year-old motorcyclist, whose name was not immediately released, died an hour later at the hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol, who also said he was an active duty Navy service member who lived in Santee.
The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. on State Route 54, stopping traffic for hours. Investigators were working Friday to track down drivers who may have witnessed the incident from start to finish, according to a local report.
Jackson was booked into jail and held without bail, pending arraignment on Tuesday,
