A ride technician died early Tuesday at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, according to park officials.

In a news release, the theme park said the technician "passed away this morning while working inside our 'Men in Black' attraction. This is sad news for all of us and we will do everything we can to take care of his family and our team members."

Theme park officials said they "are working to fully understand what happened and we will cooperate with all relevant authorities.  We are not going to speculate about what happened – but we can say this has nothing to do with ride safety or the guest experience."

The name of the ride technician has not been released.
