Except the photographer didn't know the couple before the shoot and surprised them with an entire wedding reenactment, not just a photo shoot.

Gruszynski, who learned about the couple's story on social media, reached out to the bride and offered to do a free, intimate, "stylized bridal shoot" with her and her groom, according to Michigan Live.

Heather Koehler agreed to it, despite not knowing the photographer and understanding how the situation was "a little weird."

Using the bride's sister as an accomplice, the photographer scoured social media for details about wedding guests and specifics about the flowers and cake from the wedding day.

The make-up shoot was originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, but was pushed back to Sunday because of weather.

"I think the man upstairs made it rain on Saturday so we could have the perfect day on Sunday," Gruszynski said. It turns out Sunday was better as more people were able to attend the shoot.

The couple's family and friends arrived early and parked out of sight from the shoot location and successfully surprised the newlyweds on arrival.

"It's a huge blessing and something I'll remember forever," Heather Koehler said to Michigan Live.
