Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, 31, drove a cargo truck Thursday night through Bastille Day celebrations in Nice, France, killing 84 people before he was killed after driving more than a mile.
Now people have turned the spot where he died into a garbage pile.
In a tribute to the victims, a minute of silence was held Monday throughout the country.
Almost 40,000 people showed up at a tribute service in Nice. Memorials have also started to appear at the scene of the attack.
Some French people showed their frustration with the government by booing the prime minister in Nice. The attack is the third major terror attack in France since the Charlie Hebdo shootings in 2015.
France has extended its state of emergency by three months in response to the attack.
