The man who was with Michael Brown the night Brown was shot and killed by a Ferguson police officer last summer has been arrested on drug charges and resisting arrest, according to St. Louis police.

Dorian Johnson was walking with Brown on Aug. 9, 2014, when Officer Darren Wilson approached them.

Johnson has filed a lawsuit against Ferguson, Officer Wilson and Thomas Jackson, the former police chief. The suit seeks damages of at least $25,000 for alleged violations of his constitutional rights the night of the shooting.
