Inebriated man, convinced it’s his, steals woman’s car, police say
An intoxicated Colorado man was arrested after fighting with a female driver, then taking off in her car, convinced it was his, police said.
Ignacio Medina, 21, saw a woman getting into the same make and model vehicle as his, though, it was on a different floor of a parking garage, KRDO reported.
Police said that despite seeing her keys and its out-of-state license plate, Medina was convinced it was his vehicle and began fighting with her as she was getting into it to leave around 1:50 a.m., KRDO reported.
He punched her and pulled her from the vehicle before driving off, police said. A bit later, Medina hit a parked car and nearly ran over a pedestrian before parking the car and fleeing, KKTV reported.
Medina was arrested and charged with robbery, among other charges, KKTV reported.
