His fiance, Lauren Reynolds, says she still mourns his loss. She shared her story with photographer Stephanie Jarstad, who took photos during a memorial photo shoot in Washington.

“He’s still my cheerleader, my comforter, and my hand to hold through the long nights, and the exciting adventures,” said Lauren.

She recently put on the dress she was to wear on her wedding day and took photos to remember her forever fiance.

“I’m so grateful that I got to be with Tristin and that he got to be with me,” said Lauren.

Her friends and family gathered to remember Tristin on what would have been their wedding day:

“On the day of our wedding, family and friends gathered at that beach. We all wrote to Tristin on these purple balloons and we sent our messages to heaven. I let mine go first and then everyone else let their’s go,” said Lauren.

Though it was a day she would forever cherish, she says still aches for her lost love.

“It was a really good day, but at the end of the day, I still went home without a husband and I woke up without one,” said Lauren.
