Girl douses shark bite wounds with humor — and a shark tattoo

A 13-year-old girl whose foot was bitten by a shark while swimming off the coast of Cocoa Beach was able to keep her limb — and, also, her sense of humor.
As soon as Alysa Whetro was bandaged and released from the hospital, she headed to a shop and got a temporary henna tattoo on her leg, just above the injured foot.

Whetro said she got to choose the shark depicted in the tattoo — and it looks like her attacker.
Asked how she kept her sense of humor, Whetro said, "I mean, it hurt, but it wasn't that bad."
Asked jokingly if she had anything to say to the shark, Whetro said, “No, not really” and giggled.
