A large alligator was on the prowl in a Florida parking lot last week and it gave one security guard quite a fright.
NBC Miami reports an 8-foot-long alligator was trapped in a Key Biscayne-area parking lot on Thursday night after a security guard came across the animal. "About 8:53 p.m., I saw a big alligator just appear right there," guard Jean Rousseau said. "He might have come from the water behind the trees looking for food."
According to NBC Miami, trappers were able to capture the gator and will be taking it to the Florida Everglades for relocation.
That may not be the largest gator seen this year after a Florida woman was attacked by a nearly 11-foot-long alligator last month and prior to that, a massive gator was videotaped on a Florida golf course. Outside the state, a Louisiana fisherman got a surprise when he pulled up a gator while on a river.
