Watching reruns of "Dirty Dancing" is a surefire way to bask in the nostalgia of your first love, to appreciate '60s fashion and '80s cinematography and to honor the late Patrick Swayze.
But for those who dreamed of what a summer at Kellerman's might really be like, it's not too late to find out.
Mountain Lake Lodge in Pembroke, Virginia, is the real-life Kellerman's, and the resort is offering "Dirty Dancing" weekends.
"Mountain Lake Lodge is Kellerman's," said Heidi Stone, the hotel's general manager. "It is amazing how many thousands of 'Dirty Dancing' fans we meet every summer. We have guests from all over the world that come to Mountain Lake Lodge just for the 'Dirty Dancing' weekends. It tends to be a popular girls-getaway weekend, but we do see some husbands and boyfriends from time to time."
The resort, which sits on a 2,600-acre nature preserve, offers the themed weekends three times a year. Remaining weekends in 2016 are July 29-31 and August 26-28.
Guests can enjoy activities inspired by the film, including dance lessons, a walking tour of the resort, a scavenger hunt and trivia and can visit spots where popular scenes were filmed, including the lake where Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze) practiced lifting Frances "Baby" Houseman (Jennifer Grey) and the gazebo where Penny Johnson (Cynthia Rhodes) taught vacationers a dance
