The Los Angeles Times reports Katie Couric is hosting a week of "Jeopardy!" episodes.

Journalist and news personality Katie Couric is the next guest host of “Jeopardy!” after the death of longtime host Alex Trebek.

Trebek died Nov. 8 after battling pancreatic cancer for more than a year.

The Los Angeles Times reported Couric would be following previously announced host Ken Jennings as the next person to helm the quiz show.

Jennings is the highest-earning game show contestant of all time, thanks to his run on “Jeopardy!” in which he had 74 consecutive wins. That also gives him the longest winning streak on the show. His episodes will start to air Jan. 11.

Couric, 63, declined to comment on the L.A. Times report, as well as Sony Pictures Television, which produces the game show.

Couric is set to host the show for a week, according to the report. The guest host stints may play a role in who will permanently host the show, the L.A. Times reported.
