Another round of emailed threats were sent to some Brookwood High School employees, prompting a second day of increased security on the Gwinnett County campus Thursday.

Threats of violence were emailed to a handful of educators on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Gwinnett County Public Schools spokeswoman Sloan Roach. Roach told WSB the emails "did indicate that someone might shoot or do a violent act toward a school." Though the emails were sent from the same address, the source has not been identified.

Principal Bo Ford sent the latest of three emails to parents Wednesday night on the situation, stating that extra officers will be at the school the remainder of the week, WSB Radio reported.

“Please know that we are taking these threats seriously, and although we have nothing to substantiate them, we are operating with an abundance of caution,” Ford stated.

Both school resource officers and Gwinnett police officers were on campus early Thursday.
