Memories of Krispy Kreme on Ponce de Leon Avenue
The Krispy Kreme on Ponce de Leon Avenue at Argonne sustained fire damage on Feb. 10, 2021. The shop, which has been there since 1965, is owned by Shaquille O'Neal and has been a landmark for many Atlantans who have been drawn in for decades by the flashing "Hot Doughnuts Now" sign.

Customers file past the new doughnut making theater in October 2003. After 9 weeks of renovation, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts at 295 Ponce de Leon finally re-opened their doors in a grand re-opening which had people standing in line at 6:30 a.m. The store which has been at the corner since 1965 has a new look with full line beverage and doughnut making theater that is an exclusively retail store instead of the old wholesale production line that produced 600 dozen doughnuts per hour.
