A 38-year-old man was sentenced to 25 years in prison for running an online chat group dedicated to discussing child molestation and sharing child pornography, federal prosecutors said Friday

Terence Dewayne Dixon, who had already been convicted of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old in 2001, created the online group called “House of 1000 Littles” in November 2017, U.S. Attorney BJay Pak said in a news release.

The online chat group was active until October 2018, and allowed members to share links to child porn and discuss “how they were sexually aroused by children,” prosecutors said.

On a single day in January 2018, investigators said Dixon shared 21 links that contained child porn. The following month, he bragged that his shared link contained 5,000 sexually explicit videos involving children, authorities said. The majority of the group’s members lived in Georgia, California, New York, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.

“Dixon disseminated horrific images of child pornography to members of his online chat group,” Pak said in the release. “He also encouraged others to share child pornography that fueled a demand for the violent exploitation of children."

Dixon, who lived in Houston, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to advertise child pornography in July, authorities said. He was recently sentenced to 25 years behind bars followed by a lifetime of supervised release, officials said. He was also ordered to pay $12,000 in restitution and register as a sex offender following his release from prison.

“This lengthy prison sentence serves as some recompense for the irreparable harm he caused to so many children and their families," Pak said.
