Man pranks airport travelers with fake power outlets, goes viral

The power outlets dispersed throughout airports can be life savers. But one man thought it would be a good idea to get a few people’s hopes up with fake wall plugs made out of stickers.

Twitter user @JustBasicDave started the prank at the Miami airport, documenting the experience on his account.

First, he set the scene.

Then, he waited for the unsuspecting travelers to fall for his antics and recorded video of it on his phone.

A bunch of tweeps thought it was hilarious, praising the prankster for his sense of humor.

But there were some who weren’t as amused.

Then there were a few who just wanted point out that the joke was unoriginal and had been done before.
