Man dead in southwest Atlanta shooting

One man is dead after a shooting in southwest Atlanta late Saturday afternoon, police said.
Police were called to the 800 block of Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard in the city’s West End neighborhood at about 3:30 p.m., said Sgt. Greg Lyon. The victim, who was shot in the face, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
