As Union City police continue to investigate the death of a pregnant Union City woman, her boyfriend’s father has been arrested and charged with obstruction.

Trevor Fisher was charged after police initially questioned him about the death of 31-year-old Deanna Fuller, his son’s girlfriend, Union City police spokesman Officer Jerome Turner confirmed in an email to The Atlanta Journal-Consitution.

Fuller’s boyfriend, Joshua Fisher, is wanted for questioning as a person of interest in her death but remains at large.

“Investigators want to speak with him urgently and as soon as possible,” Turner previously said.

Fuller was found with a severe head wound at the apartment she shared with Fisher and his father Sunday night when police responded to a report of shots fired. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died. A mother of six, she was pregnant with her seventh child, her sister Felisha Warr told the AJC.

Neither Fisher nor his father was at the scene when police responded, but police believe that one of them may have called 911 as they left the apartment, where Fuller lay injured on the floor, Turner confirmed. Responding officers found Fuller on the ground just outside the door of her ground-floor apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Police believe the two men stepped over Fuller where she lay, severely injured, as they left the apartment to go to a party, Turner confirmed.

While investigators were on the scene Monday, Trevor Fisher returned home and was questioned before ultimately being taken into custody.

Fuller’s youngest child, an infant daughter, lived with her and Fisher in the apartment but was not at the scene when police first responded. The girl was dropped off with Fisher’s brother and is now in the care of Warr, Fuller’s distraught sister told the AJC.

Anyone with information on Joshua Fisher’s whereabouts is asked to contact Union City police at 770-515-7991.
