One right lane of the exit ramp from westbound I-285 to Roswell Road in Sandy Springs will be partially closed for about a year so workers can build a noise barrier, relocate utilities, install drainage and do other construction, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced.
North Perimeter Contractors LLC was to initiate the partial lane closure Saturday, March 23, GDOT said, and it will run through March 31, 2020. The work is part of the reconstruction of the I-285/Ga. 400 interchange in the Perimeter area of North Fulton and DeKalb counties.
Motorists can expect temporary striping and concrete barriers in the work zone.
In other closures, the ramps from the Glenridge Connector to northbound Ga. 400, and from northbound Ga. 400 to eastbound I-285, are scheduled to be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Wednesday while crews work on a temporary ramp, GDOT said.
All work is "weather permitting" and subject to change. Information: https://bit.ly/2jfU8S7
