In 10 hours since 2 a.m., Georgia troopers responded to 63 wrecks in all of Georgia.

The accidents occurred north of a line that runs from Columbus through Macon to Augusta, where icing is the most severe.

There were 11 injuries but no fatalities.

That’s a stark contrast to the Jan. 28 winter storm that brought metro Atlanta to a standstill.

Between 10 a.m. Jan. 28 and 10 a.m. Jan. 30, the State Patrol worked 1,521 weather-related crashes that injured 184 people and killed one.
