Woodstock seeks public input for sustainability plan

Woodstock is inviting residents to a “public engagement event” to talk about the sustainability plan the city is developing.
The event will take place before and during the Woodstock Roots Music Night, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Elm Street Event Green.
“All members of the community are invited to stop by the city tent to engage in a short input activity that will help Community Development staff tap into your thoughts about Woodstock’s sustainable future,” according to a city announcement.
The plan seeks to build a sustainable community with an improved quality of life, officials said. It will address seven core focus areas: energy and building; land use; solid waste; water management; transportation; government operations; and public outreach.
